Ye are the light and salt of the world.
The Salt.
That we are seen for the virtue we carry.
And the crap in us which is forever buried.
Everyone sees the Christ in you
as you glory.
You become the hope of mankind,
for their hopes are not buried.
The Light.
A city set on a hill,
whose foundation is a rock.
He being your foundation,
Firm is your feet, you’re rooted in Christ.
His virtues, your essence.
Upon this Petra I’ll build my church,
And the substance of that Petra is Christ.
The world sees your life
and are pointed to His direction.
God walked on earth as a man.
Suffered our afflictions,
Yet made all things right.
Died a shameless death,
Yet redeemed all of mankind.
Lived a sinless life,
Yet was made sin that we can survive.
And if we live as if we were never saved,
We’re all men the most miserable.
So light up someone’s world,
and add to the hopes of mankind.
Or be the reason someone is alive;
Be the essence of someone’s living.
And we live not on our own too.
Christ has always been the one
we look up to.
